HCP Gardens Wedding - Victoria BC

The Horticultural Centre of the Pacific (HCP) has been named one of the best outdoor wedding venues in BC several years in a row. Your HCP Gardens wedding can take place in the centre of this beautiful habitat conservation area and be infused with the scent of eucalyptus and roses wafting through the air.

Before or after the birdsongs sing you up the aisle, nine acres of gardens provide ample charm and scenery to take photos. There’s nothing like a classic rose garden to complement a romantic affair! Have your dinner (there’s no catering from the team here, meaning you can organize what you’d like to your own taste), whether it’s a buffet or a barbeque (there’s room for facilities), and dine on the Couvelier Pavilion. Linens, chairs, tables, dinnerware and glassware are all available for your use, and your booking includes access to the gardens for all your guests (weather permitting). While 108 people (including head table) are able to fit here, the HCP staff suggest 80 guests would have the best elbow room for dining. 

This incredible venue does have some tight time restrictions (there’s a hard close on the bar and music at 10PM; same-day set up and cleaning is mandatory and guests must be offsite by 10:30PM), so you can plan to book an afterparty elsewhere if celebrating into the wee hours is your style. 

The Horticultural Centre of the Pacific is just outside of Victoria on the Saanich Peninsula. It’s run by some staff, volunteers and a community of people who cultivate a public garden experience for all to enjoy. It’s set just 12 kilometres (about a 20-minute drive) out from the city centre and you’ll be celebrating in a lovely agrarian area near (but not on) to Elk and Beaver Lake. Its rural appeal is something to be highlighted and considered as guests should ensure they have a safe ride home.
