In the business of creating magic, Cedar Haven weddings are filled with west coast bliss. If you’re looking for a forest wedding with an otherworldly aura, this spot is for you. Walk down the aisle in your own outdoor cathedral, mossy ground underfoot and the freshest air emanating from old-growth trees.

Located outside of Victoria in Metchosin and near East Sooke Park, be sure to book a little extra time for your photo sessions here. The natural beauty of the area begs to be explored and discovered; you’ll be rewarded with incredibly unique images and an heirloom album to keep on display for many years to come!

Cedar Haven is a private property and the owners have only been offering it for wedding bookings for a few years (since 2017). This means it’s a simple affair and mainly used as a ceremony venue; however, as time goes on, more additions are being built and now a rustic-style reception can be accommodated (you provide/rent an event tent to bring). A quaint bridal suite is available for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready before the ceremony, but otherwise it’s quite pared down, which is part of its charm (some bridal couples love it that way!). If you’re prioritizing woodsy wedding venues, this is hands down a win!

A team is available to help with setup and takedown at the site. And, while there are no catering facilities, there are ways to host a dinner on the property. Otherwise, nearby there are options to book Metchosin Hall for your reception, too.

Cedar Haven is about a 25 to 30-minute drive outside of downtown Victoria towards Sooke. This scenic drive allows for some wonderful photo opportunities, but please ensure guests know to plan a safe ride home as there are no accommodations on the property.
